Hi Ryan,

Really nicely put together advice set - think this is a blog post I'll be coming back to the next time I'm faced with a pile of literature.

One thing I disagree with though - in point 3 you suggest just highlighting the relevant pieces to your aim. I argue that this is very important yes but also find space to highlight the interesting pieces too - that way you stay open to new and still relevant stuff influencing and feeding back into the overall process.

Thanks for the nice visual too!

Great to learn of your website and initiative! Social Inclusion Week is in it's 3rd year and has over 130 registered events created by individuals and communities that have have been inspired to collaborate, connect and celebrate inclusion in their communities for the benefit of their communities! We are the only country in the world to celebrate such an inclusion event nationally and I created this project and continue to run it voluntarily.
Keep up your fabulous work and I hope we can be included in your competition finalists.

Hi Jenna, I love your attitude and the way you are so optimistic! Yes, a new working environment can be daunting, but know that someone with your positive attitude will rise above it and come out on the other side feeling...well, somewhat less stupid :)
Good luck!

Wondering if there is a difference between feeling stupid - feels like a judgement place - and allowing yourself to "not know the answers" and to be in "beginner's mind" again?

Does what you're going through mirror the beginning of all truly creative processes?

Cheers,

Permission Granted !!
Whats the old saying 'your mind is like a parachute - it only works when it is open'.
Wow - what a lesson learned - hard to swallow - but what a step !
This week has been adult learners week with the theme “It’s only the beginning: Later Life Learning and Career Shifting”... how apt !
Hang in there Jenna.
