News & Events » Blog » Sarah Stokely joins TACSI as our Connector/Communicator
Hi there!
I'm joining TACSI next month as the Connector/Communicator for the Centre. My job is to use social and online networks to find and connect with the people, projects and ideas that TACSI should be learning from and supporting.
It's an exciting time to be joining TACSI, because after a very busy year of creating and launching projects in 2010, we now have a number of our own social innovation projects and project partners (including our Bold Ideas, Better Lives Challenge winners) to be sharing with the world. It's time for us to start sharing these wonderful ideas and stories with the world!
My background is in technology journalism, online communications and teaching. My particular passions are tech innovation for social good, as well as increasing diversity and participation in technology as a way to improve the world.
For the past two years, I've been teaching digital publishing at the University of Melbourne, in its postgraduate Publishing and Communications program. I have a BA from the University of Adelaide, and a graduate qualification in journamlism from the University of Technology, Sydney.
I can't begin to tell you how excited and privileged I feel to be given this opportunity to bring my love of researching, writing about and cheerleading wonderful ideas to TACSI.
So if you're fostering a game changing idea for solving a social problem, I hope to talk to you soon. In fact we can start right now. If you're on Twitter, please start following TACSI on @OzInnovation plus you can follow me personally @stokely. You can also find out a bit more about what TACSI does by reading the rest of this site and our blog.
I look forward to connecting with you in the New Year!
Awesome.
That is all
