Building funder relationships

How do funders build effective relationships with communities that are leading place-based innovation initiatives?

TACSI partnered with Ten20 and Social Ventures Australia and six communities to explore how funding and funding relationships can help and hinder place base practices, and to produce practical guidance for funders.

In this report funders can use the ‘Funding Relationship Mirror’ to reflect on their own relational practices and use ‘The Funding Relationships Mind Stretcher’ to stretch minds, provoke new ideas and provide new reference points. The report also includes a capability framework for funders to build their relational practice, and in-depth case studies from our colleagues at SVA into six place-based initiatives: Logan Together, Go Goldfields, Connecting Community for Kids, The Hive, Sanderson Alliance and Maranguka Community Hub.
