Claire Marshall (she/her)

Lead: National Futures Initiative

Working on Gumbaynggirr Land

As the Lead of the National Futures Initiative at TACSI, Claire uses her creative thinking and enthusiasm to lead the way into a just future filled with care. With a focus on creating impact and changing systems, Claire is working across the TACSI teams to expand Australia’s sense of possibility, helping people to grow their imagination infrastructure, believe in their own agency and see the power of their community.

Currently completing her PhD in Futures Thinking, Claire brings expertise gained from an impressive range of experiences to the TACSI team – from teaching Futures at UTS and ANU to presenting exhibits with the Museum of Futures at NSW Parliament and overseas, as well as running Impact Team Labs, where she highlighted stories around climate action and equity.

Driven by her goal to create impact, change systems and amplify as many voices as possible, Claire hopes to create exciting demonstrations of possible futures, empowering people to see themselves as future-makers.

When she’s not at work, you’ll find Claire playing LEGO with her kids or pruning her food forest.

At TACSI, diversity and inclusion is more than a statement; equality and accessibility are guiding principles embedded in everything we do. We strongly believe that it’s the collective sum of all our communities differences, life experiences, and knowledge that enables both ourselves and our partners to come together to tackle complex social issues. That’s why we’re committed to having a diverse team made up of people with diverse skills from all backgrounds, including First Nations peoples, LGBTIQ+, mature-age people, and people with visible and non-visible disabilities, regardless of sex, sexuality or gender identity.
