An award-winning photographer and strategist, Leanne combines her creative and analytical yin/yang to research and share people’s stories. Her use of human-centred design and photographic techniques help bring diverse stories to light to influence public policy and service design.
Passionate about people’s health and access to safe, reliable housing, Leanne has formed strong partnerships and led teams and projects to build solutions in these areas. Recent work with government and non-government agencies includes redesigning commissioning and service responses to homelessness, monitoring and tracking changes in the social determinants of health and prototyping ways to catalyse public sector innovation.
Her interests are broad and match her experience – 15+ years in social policy and strategy, photographic research and practice, juvenile justice, qualitative research, community development and service design. And let’s not forget those stints as a DJ and figure skater.
Leanne’s a life-long learner, with a Master Research Degree in Criminology and Diploma of Photo Imaging under her belt – so far.
